Overview

ExpenseFlow is designed with privacy at its core. All your expense data, receipts, and personal information are stored exclusively on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identification information
• Expense data or financial records
• Receipt images or documents
• Location history
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Crash reports or diagnostic data

Local Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device using your device's built-in storage. This includes:

• Expense records and amounts
• Receipt images and OCR results
• Client and report information
• Trip tracking history
• App settings and preferences

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export and share it.

Location Access

ExpenseFlow requests access to your device's location for the following purposes:

• Trip Tracking: To automatically detect when you start a business trip by comparing your current location to your set home location.
• Expense Tagging: To optionally tag expenses with a location for record-keeping purposes.

Location data is processed on-device and never transmitted to any server. You can disable location access at any time in your iPhone's Settings app.

Camera Access

The app requests camera access solely to allow you to photograph receipts for OCR scanning. Photos are processed on-device and are not transmitted externally.

Photo Library Access

The app may request photo library access to allow you to select existing images of receipts. Images are only accessed when you explicitly choose them within the app.

Third-Party Services

ExpenseFlow uses the following third-party services in a limited capacity:

• Exchange Rate API: When you request current exchange rates, the app makes a network request to a public exchange rate service. No personal data is sent — only a request for current rates.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:

• Access: All your data is visible within the app at all times.
• Export: You can export all your data in JSON or CSV format from the Settings page.
• Delete: Deleting the app removes all associated data from your device.

Children's Privacy

ExpenseFlow is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app's App Store listing and on this page.
